Understanding Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide)
Vitamin B3 has two forms - Nicotinic Acid and Nicotinamide.
It is primarily synthesized from the amino acid Tryptophan. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid obtained from dietary sources such as poultry, salmon, and red meat. In the body, Nicotinic Acid is converted to Nicotinamide, which is a very important coenzyme for the body. For skincare, Nicotinamide is preferred over Nicotinic Acid as the latter is too irritating for the skin.
